The Ceramic Shrine Workshop at Kalina Woods Ceramics is a hands-on experience designed to help participants create a unique and meaningful shrine to honor loved ones or reflect on personal growth. Set in a cozy and supportive studio, this workshop is inspired by the traditions of Samhain and Day of the Dead, making it a perfect way to mark the autumn season.

Throughout the session, participants will be guided step-by-step through the process of constructing their shrine using hand-building techniques. They will have the opportunity to personalize their creations with decorative elements like candle holders, trimmings, niches, and shelves, making each shrine truly one-of-a-kind. After a break, the focus shifts to decoration, where underglazes are used to add color and personality to the shrines.

The workshop includes all necessary materials, expert instruction, and autumnal refreshments to create a warm and enriching atmosphere. Once completed, the shrines will be glazed and fired, ready for collection about two weeks later, just in time for Samhain or Halloween.
